Ah, the Pennysaver. A staple of our mailboxes for so so so many years. If you’re not familiar with the Pennysaver, it is a newsprint catalog that includes a combination of user submitted classified ads and local business ads. The Pennysaver has been around since the Great Depression.
If you are a Florida resident you are probably also familiar with TheFlyer. TheFlyer has joined the Pennysaver network so this article will help you stop delivery of both the Pennysaver and TheFlyer.
Both of these publications claim they are “The Best LOCAL Values — In Print and Online.” So if these values are available online there’s really no reason to receive a copy online.
PennysaverUSA doesn’t make it easy to find their opt out request form to stop delivery of the Pennysaver or TheFlyer. You have to go to the bottom of the web page, click on Help & FAQ under Resources, then find the question you’re looking for under the Mailing List section. Then they give you the option to read the fact sheet from Mail Moves America that tells you the junk mail isn’t really that bad. Then finally you get to the form! Finally!
Or, you can go directly to the form by clicking on this link: www.pennysaverusa.com/mailinglist/. The form does ask for your name and email as well as your address. For best results enter your address information exactly as it appears on the back of the Pennysaver.
I just recently submitted my request to have the Pennysaver stopped. Like other publications it does take a few weeks (approximately 6-8) for delivery of the Pennysaver to stop.
